What's it like working for Aldi? That's what we asked a few employees...

It seems a bit of a leap from production management to assistant store manager, but Paul Sneyd was looking for a new challenge. When he saw the advertisement in the newspaper for Aldi, he decided to take the plunge.
He has no regrets. He's been working full time with Aldi now for 16 months but feels the time has flown by because every day is different, bringing new challenges.
"It's great working here. The salary's good and the promotion prospects are outstanding. I was amazed that I could be promoted so quickly. But then, of course, I deserved it!"
There's no denying there's hard work involved and when there's a problem, such as a late delivery, then everyone has to do their part to help sort it out.
Paul can work flexible hours and a five day week is normal. Even so, every day's different but he has a great team working with him and they all get on well. In fact, there's one aspect of the job Paul really likes.
"Training staff is really enjoyable. It's one way to ensure that our customers enjoy shopping in the store and that customer service is always a top priority."
Would he recommend working at Aldi. "Definitely. It's a good place to work."
