What's it like working for Aldi? That's what we asked a few employees...
![]()
Susanne has been an employee for eight years now and enjoys the teamwork and the confidence that comes from running an Aldi store.
She first applied to work at Aldi after seeing an advert in the local paper for the opening of Aldi's Tullamore store in 2000.
Originally from Germany, where Aldi has many stores, Suzanne knew that she would be working for a well-established company with great job security and good wages when she applied for the job as Aldi Assistant Store Manager.
"The best part of working for Aldi is when the shop looks great and this is achieved through everyone's teamwork."
Of course, hard work is involved on everyone's part - and when, due to unforeseen circumstances, staff aren't available, tasks have to be prioritised - which sometimes means working irregular hours - including weekends. Even so, Susanne would highly recommend a job at Aldi.
"You'll be working in a fast paced environment and be rewarded by a great team spirit, a secure job, great salary and other benefits."
Susanne O'Rourke - Assistant Store Manager
