The Company

We're a leading global retailer and one of the world's largest privately owned companies with over 7,000 stores worldwide and continuing expansion throughout Europe, North America and Australia.

We opened our first store in Ireland in 1999. Since then have grown rapidly, opening over 70 stores here to date.

We have an extremely exciting future ahead of us, which is why we are continuing to invest in new stores, logistics and, most importantly, in the people who work with us.

The Benefits

You may have heard that the salaries offered to those who work for Aldi are exceptional – market leading in fact. This, we're proud to say is absolutely true. In return for their commitment, hard work, dedication, responsibility and sharp thinking we offer all our staff not just a great salary but job security too. What's more, our working hours are flexible so you can achieve the perfect work/life balance.

We keep our operation simple and all our staff have an unusual ability and willingness to work hard for the Company and our customers. They take ownership and commitment very seriously and this makes their working lives both exciting and very satisfying. They are given high levels of responsibility and are supported by great training and a good salary.

This helps create a culture that gives people a very real sense of satisfaction, self-confidence and pride in what they do.

The Environment

Working at Aldi is challenging but also great fun, which is why you'll find Aldi people are focused and supportive. There is a high value placed on teamwork and cooperation. Because we are continuously expanding, there is a large investment in recruitment and training and a constant growth of stores, distribution centres and Regional Head Offices. It's a dynamic, fast-paced environment with lots of change going on. It's also a high quality environment where your authority to make decisions provides a level of responsibility that is well beyond that offered by other employers.

The Myths

You may have heard certain rumours about working at Aldi. Things like; you have to memorise all the prices in the store, you have to sort out and pay your own tax at the end of the year, or you have to work 7 days a week! All of these are absolute nonsense. Although, prior to the introduction of our scanning tills our store staff were proud to say they did know all the prices in the store!

Of course working at Aldi is hard work but it is also hugely rewarding. The hours are flexible, the work is challenging but fun, you will have a supportive team with you, undergo high levels of training and be rewarded with a generous salary.
